Sweet Fire Donna's in Carlyle Square serves good BBQ in a neighborhood bar-type setting. A lunch, dinner, or meet up for a pint also puts you at the top of Old Town Alexandria, with just a 10 minute walk to the stop for the free King St. Trolley stop at Harvard St. (Every 15 minutes from 11am-11pm, daily including Holidays). For details about the King St. Trolley see this link at VisitAlexandria.com.
Am a particular fan of their pulled pork with cole slaw sammich, the fried pickle chips, and a Senate Lager draft. The pulled pork nachos are a mound of tasty food. And the sliced brisket with the Carolina sauce is another tasty option.
Ok, so I have not had anything at Sweet Fire Donna's that I did not like.
